locations. Position Summary: We are currently hiring a Quality
Control Specialist at The Richard Bolling Federal Building in
Kansas City, Missouri . Schedule: Monday-Friday Shift: Full-Time
Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm Flexible to the Jobs Demands Salary:$23.71 per
hour Benefits! Summary: Reports to the Director of Safety and
Quality Assurance, the Quality Control Specialist is responsible
for overseeing the quality at assigned worksites where people who
have different abilities work with integrated teams and receive
work support and development as needed to achieving the highest
level of independence possible.This position ensures custodial
services are performed in full compliance with the Performance Work
Statement, GSA standards, sustainability requirements, safety
regulations, and contract performance metrics. This role will
conduct routine and unscheduled inspections, documents
deficiencies, verifies corrective actions, and supports continuous
improvement of cleaning operations throughout the facility. The
Specialist acts as the on-site quality authority ensuring work
meets required cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and environmental
standards. Typical Duties: Perform routine inspections of offices,
restrooms, corridors, entrances, glass, high-touch areas, floor
care areas, waste areas, and exterior entry points. Verify
compliance with cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, floor care,
carpet care, restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and waste
removal standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA, SDS requirements,
EPA green cleaning standards, sustainable product use, and
infection control practices. Document deficiencies, track trends,
verify corrective actions, and support performance reporting.
Inspect floor maintenance including stripping, waxing, buffing,
extraction, spot cleaning, and ADA-safe surfaces. Confirm restroom
disinfection, fixture condition, dispenser operation, and odor
control. Verify trash, recycling, and compost handling procedures
and container cleanliness. Monitor chemical handling, equipment
safety, and environmental practices. Support Government inspections
and coordinate with COR or facility representatives. Moderates the
Management Review Board meetings monthly to ensure Management is
actively involved in contract compliance. Relay information to
workers and upper management about any updates or changes pertinent
to the contract in a timely, accurate manner. Assist Director of
Safety and Quality Assurance in establishing metrics and measuring
and managing customer expectations and to ensure contract
requirements are performed in accordance with the contract PWS/SOW,
applicable regulations such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health
Administration), and other regulatory agencies to meet customer
expectations. Observe crew members’ work performance; report
quality and safety-related observations to Director of Quality and
Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager. Evaluate competencies,
awareness, and communication. Ensure all QC inspections are
completed and entered into the QMS (Quality Management System)
database for tracking, trending, and inspection. Audit systems and
processes ensure the integrity of the systems. Identify fraud,
waste, and abuse through Quality Management evaluations. Report all
suspicious actions to the Director of Safety and Quality Assurance.
May participate in investigations of allegations utilizing audit
techniques. Maintain regulatory oversight in accordance with
applicable agencies such as OSHA, and EPA. Issue Non-Conformance
Reports and track to resolution. Develop professional working
partnerships with current and potential key contracting
representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and site occupants.
Develop and establish appropriate communication methods, using
routine and periodic meetings, proactive preparation and reporting,
and prompt investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
Investigate customer complaints and issue Non-Conformance Reports;
track responses, review trend analysis, recommend changes. Maintain
a comprehensive understanding of the contract statement of work to
be performed at the assigned site as well as the materials and
equipment used to meet contract requirements. Manage and control
all quality control activities in accordance with identified
Quality Assurance standards, Quality Manual—current revision,
company procedures, client specifications and contract
requirements. Assist in production of generic and project specific
risk assessments Encourage effective outcomes and accountability.
Observe crew members’ work performance; report observations to
Project Manager. Communicate expectations. Evaluate the team for
continual improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness. Initiate,
coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures. Mentor
and develop the team through training and problem resolution. Build

objectives. Minimum Qualifications: Education : High school diploma
or G.E.D required. Preferred 2 years of college. . Experience : 3
years’ work experience in Custodial; janitorial, housekeeping; or
hospital sanitation. Quality control, engineering, or large
contract experience preferred. Requires problem solving, time
management, and attention to detail skills Certifications : OSHA
30-hour certification in construction within 6 months. Custodial
Certification within 6 month. Pre-Employment Test : Computer
technology baseline knowledge Computer Skills : Proficient with
OFFICE 365 Suite / Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook a
plus Background Checks : Pass federal and state background checks.
Pass child abuse and neglect background checks. Pass driving
background check Driving :Must be at least 21 years or older with a
