OVER-THE-ROAD TRUCK DRIVER

The Over-The-Road ("OTR") Truck Driver is responsible for transporting Grandstand Glassware + Apparel ("Grandstand") product on public highways in interstate commerce using a tractor-trailor truck. The position offers a consistent route with 2 days home per week, paid time-off, new equipment, and a $5,000 one (1) year retention bonus. Major Duties
---Transport and deliver Grandstand products over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
---Hook and unhook trailer; ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage; install and remove tire chains as required by weather.
---Load and unload trailers and lift, pull, push and carry freight.
---Confirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document; obtain signature or warehouse scans to confirm and complete all deliveries.
---Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
---Make safety a priority at all times; perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to Supervisor or Grandstand Facility/Safety Manager; maintain cleanliness of vehicle; obey applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.
---Follow accident procedures, if an accident occurs.
---Represent Grandstand in a professional manner.
---Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications ---High school diploma or GED required.
---Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required.
---Two (2) plus years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience.
---Clean driving record with no moving violations.
---Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc) required by Department of Transportation ("DOT") and pass required drug/alcohol test
---Acceptable background investigation results.
---Knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
---An innate sense of direction and proficiency in using Global Positioning System ("GPS") and other routing systems.
---Ability to operate electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
---High-level of composure in all situations and good stress management.
Physical Demands ---Successful completion of DOT physical.
---Ability to be away from home for extended periods of time, available for round-the-clock trips and ability to remain alert while driving up to 11 hours at any given time.
---Ability to perform physical activities that require frequently crouching/squatting (bend legs/spine), stooping (bend at waist), reaching (extended hands/arm), reach across midline, handling (hold, grasp, seize, turn), fingering (pinch/pick)
---Ability to enter and exit the vehicle's cab numerous times each day.
---Ability to install and remove tire chains, hook and unhook trailers, and secure freight.
---Ability to push/pull (force exerted) freight at a self-selected height with a force of 150 pounds.
---Ability to access and manually release fifth wheel lever and tandem pins which requires horizontal pulling with a force of 100 pounds at a height of 44 inches and pulling with a force of 100 pounds at a height of 38 inches.
---Ability to perform physical activities that require occasional standing, change in position, kneeling, stairs, ramp, ladder, arm/hand, leg/foot, simple grasp (grasp lightly), firm grasp (use pressure/force), and fine manipulation.
---Ability to adjust products for transport with the use of a forklift using up to 48 pounds of pull and/or pushing force.
---Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
