We're hiring a Youth Counselor for our Oskaloosa office!The Guidance Center (TGC) is a community based, non-profit agency that serves as the local Community Mental Health Center for Atchison, Jefferson and Leavenworth Counties in Kansas. Through advocacy and education, the agency also has made incredible strides in erasing the stigma, shame, and ignorance that prevent more than half of all individuals touched by such problems from seeking treatment.Youth Counselor Benefits and PayHourly pay rate of $12.78 to $15.18 per hour, based on previous relevant experienceKPERS Retirement SystemFlexible SchedulesLife InsurancePaid Holidays (9 per year)Paid Time OffYouth Counselor Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with promoting successful group interactions among consumersEncourage and support clients' engagement in YPP activitiesFacilitate/co-facilitate groups as assignedServe as Attendant on van transportation routes as assignedProvide clinical notes which complies with center's standards and the requirements of all funding sources within required timeframesQualifications for Youth CounselorHigh school graduate or GED requiredMust have completed one year of college course work in the field of human services, or have one year of experience in the field of human services, or one year combination of education and work experience in the field of human services6 months experience working with individuals in the community.
