GoodLife Innovations is seeking Direct Support Professionals to teach daily living skills and provide care and companionship to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This human services position earns a competitive hourly rate of $17.50 - $18.67. As a Direct Support Professional, you will help the people we serve by teaching communication skills, maintaining health and hygiene, and supporting positive behaviors to increase their independence. Your day will be spent in family-style group homes and/or Day Services centers to assist with client goals and personal care needs. You will build lasting relationships through community outings, functional activities, and daily companionship!

Some duties:
Providing companionship, conversation, and engagement in functional activities
Teaching daily living skills based on individual support plans
Assisting with or providing full support for personal care/hygiene needs (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Transporting to appointments and activities in company vehicle
Assisting with routine health needs (administering medications)
Observing, documenting, and reporting data on daily activities
Some qualifications:
Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required
Compassion for helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Must successfully pass criminal background check
Must be a safe driver and have a valid driver's license
Flexibility in assigned working location based on client needs
Ability to lift up to 50lbs to physically assist individuals with and without adaptive equipment
Day shifts: 7am-7pm or 8am-8pm
