Job DescriptionSalary: DOEModern ManufacturingShifts Available:Night Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:30pm - 6:00amWeekend Shift: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pmPosition Summary:The position's primary purpose and focus Modern Manufacturing is looking for a Press Brake Operator, for its manufacturing facility located in Eudora, KS. The primary focus for the Press Brake Operator will be to work on fabrication activities to achieve established production goals consistent with standards of quality, safety, cost and housekeeping. Tactical and strategic thinking are essential for this role. POSITION DUTIES AND Primary Responsibilities: Major responsibilities of the position

• Ability to read and understand part drawings and specifications;
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and implementation;
• Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement projects specifically in a machine shop;
• Work to improve the efficiency and accuracy of methods and procedures which would improve product quality throughout product realization;
  • Monitors and drives quality measures and implements continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participates in and coordinates programs related to employee communications, placement, training and development, orientation, quality, etc.
  • Strong background, knowledge and understanding of fabrication.
  • Proficient in various conventional Trumpf sheet metal shop equipment such as CNC Laser Cutters, CNC Routers, and Press Brakes.
  • Ensures the consistent use of safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE), supervises departmental housekeeping
  • Ensure nonconforming product is identified and segregated to prevent its introduction into the product stream;;
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational, problem solving and multi-tasking skills;
  • Report inspection results in written or printed format. Interacts with interested parties to ensure all results are understood and acted upon as necessary;
  • Provide support to engineering and management on special projects;
  • Other duties as assigned; Skill and qualifications:

    • Strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Software (work, excel, outlook) Education, Training and Experience:
      • High School Diploma or equivalent
      • Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health regulations, practices, operational procedures and requirements
      • At least 5 years manufacturing and fabrication experience with emphasis on metal fabrication
      • Ability to interpret drawings, blue prints, and engineering directive documents
      • A minimum of 3-5 years of quality control experience in a machine shop;
      • Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts, quality measurements and OSHA requirements
      • Will have knowledge of working with and implementing ISO 9001:2015 in a machine shop setting.
      • Problem solving and conflict management skills Working Conditions:
        • This position requires walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time
        • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 20 pounds
        • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs
        • Bending, reaching, kneeling, stretching, and working overhead
        • Handling, feeling, and gripping
