Job SummaryThe Eagle Bend Golf Course Maintenance (Park Facility Maintenance Technician) position will perform unskilled and semi-skilled labor in daily maintenance, projects and related service activities for municipal recreational facilities, parks and golf course.Job Responsibilities100.00% - Duties may include all activities associated with the care and maintenance of municipal facilities. Including such items as mowing, weed eating, fertilizing turf areas, irrigation repair; clear debris from streets, walks and other areas; apply herbicides, fungicides and pesticides as directed by upper level staffs. This position will also perform a variety of semi-skilled and/or skilled work in the maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of city parks and recreation facilities and equipment, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, concrete, installation and remodeling. This position will also be responsible for participating in snow removal operations. It is anticipated that this position will work weekends as needed to facilitate golf events, tournaments and recreational programming. QualificationsQualifications - Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade with one to two years of experience required in facilities and/or park maintenance. Must have the physical ability to walk, crawl, kneel or stand for prolonged periods of time; perform moderate to heavy moving and lifting, and be subject to continuous physical exertion in extreme hot and cold temperatures. The successful candidate must pass the background check, post-offer City physical and drug screen and have a valid Kansas driver"s license.
