Job Description:

Perform tasks as assigned in the production of full diet dog food. This includes ability to batch ingredients, manage processing systems, and coordinate Production to Packaging activities.Position is for 2nd shift (works 3:30 pm - 12:00 am) Some overtime is required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupport all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and perform assigned safety responsibilitiesEffectively operate and maintain Packaging Mezzanine equipmentResponsible for accurately preparing pre-mix and distributing to bins properlyAdhere to plant quality and food safety requirements to the daily performance of the jobMaterial handling and forklift driver roles & responsibilitiesDrive plant efforts to achieve production efficiency, downtime reduction, drive out losses, and schedule adherence goalsCommunicate with team leaders, maintenance, and all production personnel to achieve self-sufficient team goalsPerform all other duties as assignedSKILLS & KNOWLEDGEHigh school diploma or GED requiredFood manufacturing, process improvement knowledge, and leadership experience a plusProven mechanical or electrical aptitude preferredGood problem solving skills, computer skills, and willingness to learnDemonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environmentPrioritize work in a fast paced, high speed manufacturing environmentMandatory overtime, sometimes given short notice.
