Job Description Job Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Take
after-hours crisis calls and determine the best way to provide
support at the time by talking to the client over the phone,
providing an in-person crisis session, facilitating
hospitalization, CRP admission, or state hospital alternative
admission, etc. · Facilitate state hospital and CRP admissions
during sessions, and complete state hospital alternative screens
when appropriate. · Follow critical care protocol in order to
provide support to youth at risk of suicide as deemed necessary and
appropriate by clinical staff. · Understand and practice the
philosophy of WrapAround Services for the purpose of both assessing
needs and delivering services. · Complete clinical documentation in
compliance with time lines established by the Agency’s quality
assurance standards as well as those set by funding sources. ·
Respect and demonstrate ability to maintain client confidentiality.
· Act as an ambassador of Family Service and Guidance Center in the
community setting. This may include doing public educational and
informational presentations. · Support and actively promote the
vision and mission of Family Service and Guidance Center and the
philosophy of the strengths perspective. · Respond to crisis calls
for the Assertive Community Treatment Team · Mobile Crisis
Response. · Other duties as assigned by respective team leaders or
supervisors. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure: ·
Master’s degree in a recognized mental health discipline – Social
Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or Psychology. · Valid
license to practice as a clinician (LSCSW, LCMFT, LMLP, LMSW, LFT,
LPC, etc.) in the state of Kansas. · Must successfully pass the KBI
and DCF Central Registry background investigations. · Must possess
a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, current auto
insurance and reliable transportation. · Clinicians are expected to
complete Managing Aggressive Behavior (MAB), HIPPA and Corporate
Compliance training and other trainings as defined by the agency
prior to working with clients. Experience: · Experience working
with special needs children/youth and families, particularly
community-based services, are preferred. · Clinicians must exhibit
satisfactory verbal and written communication skills. · Must
possess and utilize sufficient interpersonal skills to promote
teamwork; must be able to collaborate with other team members to
deliver optimal services to clients. · Exposure and familiarity
with MS Office products; ability to type for electronic
documentation purposes required. · Active membership in
professional organizations is strongly encouraged. · Clinicians are
expected to exhibit good work ethic and be flexible in their
schedule. Effective clinical skills, time management and
organizational skills are necessary attributes for this position.

Clinicians must have sufficient ambulatory capabilities to work
with children/youth in the office or community based setting.
Requires physical ability to restrain children and adolescents
exhibiting out of control behaviors. WORK ENVIRONMENT Office and
Community-Based working environment; requires flexible schedule;
frequent interruptions occur; expected to deal with individuals in
crisis; risk of exposure to aggressive and/or acting out (verbal
and physical) children and youth. On-call Crisis Clinicians shall
be available to see clients in the office or in secure community
based settings such as hospital emergency rooms or juvenile intake.
On-call Crisis Clinicians are also subject to peer supervision by
their team members and colleagues. Accountability extends beyond
this to the client population and agency as a whole. Supervision:
The Director of Crisis Services shall provide the direct
supervision of the On-Call Crisis Clinician. The Director of
Clinical Services shall also provide direction and supervision.
Depending on licensure requirements, individual supervision is
available on a discretionary basis. Job Type: Part-time
