Job Description Job Description Job Summary and Qualifications Kidney Associates of Kansas City is seeking a caring and compassionate individual to assist in all areas of our busy Nephrology practice. Responsibilities of the position: Documentation of patient encounters in EMR Answering patient calls and scheduling appointments Prep patient charts and track labs Room patients (check in/check out) Interact with other medical offices Process medical records requests Travel to other locations with providers (Paid mileage for travel) Other duties as assigned Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Certificate from college or technical school with concentration in communications, healthcare, or customer service (preferred) At least 1 year experience in customer service or medical setting Strong customer service experience Strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR Software and Word Processing Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability and comfort level communicating with the providers and patients Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines with minimal supervision Highly organized High energy, positive attitude, self-starter, and independent thinker Great benefit package including: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Holiday Pay 401K Retirement No nights or weekends Equal opportunity employer Full time - Monday - Thursday 8:30 to 5:00 and Fridays 8:30 to 4:30. We have 3 office locations in the KC Metro, 1 office location in Clinton MO and 1 office location in Warrensburg MO. Travel to all office locations is a requirement of this position.
