Opportunity – Burn ICU Registered Nurse – Kansas City, Missouri
Start Date: August 18, 2025 Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3
weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; patient ratios vary
based on acuity Highlights: Specialized 6-bed Burn ICU within a
Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, and Cardiac Verified Facility Strong
multidisciplinary team including dedicated burn surgeon, nurse
practitioners, intensivists, and unit-based paramedics Advanced
technology including Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitoring,
AirStrip rhythm monitoring, and on-site hyperbaric chamber Meditech
documentation system with support from virtual admission nurses and
discharge lounge Float policy prioritizes agency staff; floating to
like units (ICU/PCU/CCU) only Actively working toward verification
as an ABA-verified burn center Requirements: Active RN license in
Missouri ICU-level experience required; burn experience strongly
preferred Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH ABLS
certification preferred but not required Proficiency in cardiac
rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic drip titration CRRT training
and hemodynamic monitoring experience highly desirable Competency
in advanced procedures: debridement, dressing changes, line
