Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Kansas City, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Kansas City, Missouri, 64154! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Experience in telemetry and PCU settings Proven ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment Description: This position involves the care of patients in a surgical stepdown unit. The nurse will manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. Work settings include telemetry, cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, and PCU. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs and interpreting dysrhythmias. The nurse will administer medications, including cardiac drips and PCA. Experience with IV therapy, including starting and managing IVs, is required. The role involves post-operative care for cardiac patients and managing complications. The nurse will be required to perform emergency response and utilize rapid response teams. Floating to other departments may be necessary to meet facility needs. Flexibility to accommodate holiday shifts and weekend requirements is expected. This position requires skills in wound care, isolation precautions, and patient education.
