Overview Position: RN/Registered Nurse - PRE-OP - Days Schedule:
6am - 6:30pm (Monday thru Friday) Plus PACU Call Location:
University Kansas Health System - St. Francis (Main Campus)
Registered Nurses function under the direction of the Nurse
Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe
patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient
populations. The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and
prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually
revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional,
psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of
the patient/family. The RN Delegates care as appropriate to
optimize patient outcomes. The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing
process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation and
evaluation. Clearly communicates, both orally and in writing, to
foster staff and patient understanding of treatment plan Sensitive
to the patient's needs such as physical, spiritual, and emotional
and evaluates response to the delivery of care. Supports and
promotes the organizational priorities. Effectively manages
department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure
the delivery of care is well-organized and proficient. Provides
quality customer service to patients, families, coworkers, and
other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a

(Evening and Night Shift) Qualifications Requirements: A graduate
of an accredited nursing school. Must maintain a current
certification in BLS. Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to
work under stressful situations. Possesses good oral and written
communication skills. A demonstrated ability in interpersonal
relationships, which enhances communication, promotes conflict
resolutions, and facilitates staff development. Desirable
characteristics include at least one year of experience as an R.N.,
preferably in the area of application.
