Our client, a 60 year old company is well established in the food,
pet food, and plastics segment of the food industry. This company
has impacted the industry by custom fabrication of solutions to
real problems .
They design, manufacture, fabricate, resell and/or implement and
install virtually any type of bin, storage facility and material
Their products have been successfully used in the grain, feed,
fertilizer, seed, ice and meat industry.
They have asked us to help them recruit, screen and qualify
candidates for their PROJECT MANAGER position.
The successful candidate will survey, measure, write
specifications, design and oversee the custom manufacture of
material handling equipment and also includes overseeing & startup
of the on-site installation of the products.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of job
orders including leading the engineering, delivery, and startup
aspects of assigned projects
Resolving project-related issues raised from other departments. As
the main point of contact with the customer, PMs are assisted by
and direct the work of Project Engineers, and are ultimately
responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of work flowing out of
the department, and for the successful delivery/startup of our

Responsible for project integrity, budget, schedules, and overall

Act as main customer contact for duration of projects from kickoff
through successful delivery or system startup/commissioning.
Establish/verify and obtain approval of all customer requirements
and project scope including contractual obligations through

expectations, equipment location/envelope/orientation,
electrical/pneumatic utility requirements, flange connections to
customer supplied equipment, etc.
Prioritize work of assigned Project Engineer(s) in order to account
for fabricated and buyout item lead times.
Responsible for delivery of accurate flow, stack-up, GD, and
production drawings through coordination with Project Engineers and
Production Engineering to meet established Release to Production
Manage all vendor activities either directly (major vendors) or
through Project Engineers (minor vendors).
Responsible for the maintenance of all job item date entries within
the ERP system.
Define and enter change orders as agreed to with customers and
provide change information to accounting.
Responsible for the correctness of all job items/data within
software necessary to fulfill customer requirements.
Responsible for shipment grouping/timing and shipment detail
communication with customer.
Responsible for providing customers with accurate system
Responsible for developing sequence of operations if within

personnel for effective equipment startup if included in project
Act as main contact for resolving any project issues/questions from

Responsible for identifying warranty and customer goodwill

3+ years' system design experience
Solidworks 3d is a plus -
Pneumatic experience a plus
Some travel up to 25%
