Seeking experienced paraprofessionals to provide flexible support across a large K-12 school district located near Blue Springs, MO. This contract position lasts through the current school year, with the opportunity to increase hours or convert to full-time based on district needs. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as floating paraprofessionals covering 5 to 15 weekly call-outs across elementary, middle, and high schools within the district - Support special education classrooms with 1:1 or general classroom assistance - Assist students with toileting and changing when necessary - Adapt to varying schedules ranging from 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 4:20 PM depending on assigned school site - Maintain flexibility in hours worked, which may range from 7.5 to 37 per week without guaranteed minimums Desired Qualifications: - Active Substitute Certification on the DESE website (Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) - Experience working with special education populations and familiarity with toileting assistance - Ability and willingness to float between multiple school sites as assignments arise - Previous experience in school paraprofessional roles preferred - Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to changing daily schedules and needs Location: - Schools across a district serving approximately 22 elementary, 6 middle, and 5 high schools near Blue Springs, Missouri This role offers valuable hands-on experience supporting diverse student groups in inclusive classroom settings. Paraprofessionals who perform highly may be offered full-time contracts within the district.
