Apply at -- - Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional evening/weekend hours. The Digital Media Production Coordinator works closely with Marketing Communications staff to produce high quality photography and video content in support of the University of Kansas brand. This person provides logistical and administrative oversight for photo and video production for the digital media team in support of Marketing Communications objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating photo and video production schedules, managing photo and video inquiries, maintaining project schedules, and managing the KU photo library. The Production Coordinator must be a self-starter and take initiative to provide solid leadership in the area of production management. Required Qualifications 1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university, or school. 2. At least three years' professional experience in a photo and/or video production environment. Preferred Qualifications 1. An excellent portfolio that demonstrates a clear mastery of video and/or photography production workflows. 2. Strong organizational skills, proven attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 3. A working knowledge of the different needs. required at the various stages of video production 4. Experience putting together call sheets and video production timelines. 5. Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and how it integrates into a video production workflow. 6. Experience on set in commercial or film production environments. 7. Extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere. 8. Familiarity with metadata best practices and workflows. 9. Experience with Photo Mechanic. 10. Experience with Workamajig or other project-management software or tools, Microsoft Office (or similar) products, and web-based project-management and/or communication tools. 11. Experience optimizing images for print. 12. Experience with digital asset management systems. 13. Experience with Widen. 14. Working knowledge of social media workflows for Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. 15. Experience in advertising, visual. communications and/or brand development 16. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. 17. Ability to meet tight deadlines with grace under pressure. 18. Strong organization and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail. 19. A team player, but one with self-initiative, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude 20. Self-motivated with strong organization and attention to detail as well as the desire to contribute to issue-identification and problem-solving. 21. Ability to respond to direction and adapt to frequent changes in project tactics, creative strategy, and/or deadline. . KU is an EO/AAE. Job Requirements: 45% Photo and video production management Manage production schedules, timelines, workflow, and processes for photo and video production by the digital media team. Set up new digital media jobs. Coordinate shoot times and locations with external parties. Manage our weekly project list and deadlines. Check in with team members on project statuses. Manage the KU photo library. Coordinate with photographers to maintain accurate metadata. -- - 30% External facilitation Manage departmental e-mail accounts. Fulfill requests for on-campus production from external parties. Fulfill external requests for pre-existing video footage and stock photography. Coordinate request for new photo and video production. -- - 15% On-set production assistance Assist the digital media team on photo and video shoots"-- - -making sure shoot objectives are met, setting up and tearing down equipment, and other duties as necessary on set. -- - 10% Other duties as assigned Attend partner meetings as needed. Attend or lead internal team meetings. Plan, strategize, trouble-shoot, and seek solutions for a wide range of partner, team, and/or vendor issues. Work collegially with staff, partners, and vendors in a team environment. As needed, prepare and present proposals, project-status reports, and other research or evaluations related to digital media. -- -
